GEM Lopez Consulting, LLC was founded by Paola Lopez with a deep commitment to supporting ambulatory surgery centers through every phase of their journey—development, reopening, regulatory alignment, and operational structure design.
Paola’s passion for ambulatory surgery centers is rooted in hands‑on experience. Having served as an ambulatory surgery center administrator and credentialing coordinator, she understands firsthand the complexity, pressure, and responsibility involved in running a safe, compliant, and efficient surgery center. From navigating licensing requirements and accreditation standards to managing daily operations, survey preparation, and provider credentialing, Paola has been in the trenches alongside clinical teams, physicians, and leadership.
Through years of experience, she witnessed how unclear processes, incomplete policies, or lack of regulatory guidance can place unnecessary stress on staff and risk patient safety. She also saw how the right structure—clear workflows, compliant policies, organized documentation, and proactive preparation—can transform operations and empower teams to succeed. These experiences shaped the foundation of GEM Lopez Consulting.
